How I am Smart
Learning Disabilities Association of Canada
Monday, March 19, 2012
On March 9th, Shane Martland from the Learning Disabilities Association of Newfoundland and Labrador spoke with some of Ms. Mills’ English classes at MDJH. Mr. Martland shared some personal experiences of what it was like to have a learning disability and to struggle in school. An information booth was also set up during lunchtime so that students and staff could ask questions. This is part of an on-going promotion by our Student Support Services to promote an awareness and an understanding of learning disabilities.
